How the match unfolds

Two riders on a 35 by 27 grid. Neither of you controls speed: both advance exactly one cell every 167 milliseconds, 6 cells a second, for the whole round. The only input is a turn, and a turn only lands on a cell boundary. There is no braking, no boosting, and no half-step.

Every cell you leave becomes a solid wall that stays for the rest of the round. Cross any trail, yours or theirs, and you lose the round. Both riders crossing on the same step is a draw, and a draw pays nobody.

Why it is tense

Because you cannot slow down, every turn is a bet on space you have not entered yet. The board only ever gets smaller: the walls you build to cut them off are the same walls that close your own room. Winning a round is usually not a clever move, it is being the one with one more cell of margin at the moment both of you run out.

The motion is integer, not floating point, which is the reason the game can be fair at this speed. A cycle occupies one cell and advances one cell on a fixed tick count, so your browser predicts exactly what the server resolves rather than approximately. There is no drift to argue about when a crash is called.

How the money moves

Both players post the same stake. Every round you win transfers one 7th of the opening stake out of their balance and into yours, capped by what they have left. Simultaneous crashes are draws and move nothing, and a round nobody resolves inside 20 seconds is called a draw too, so the match can never stall with the money frozen.

The match runs 2:00 and ends early when a rider reaches 4 round wins. Every transfer posts to the authoritative match ledger, minus the flat 1.00% platform commission, and the final result settles with a public receipt on Robinhood Chain. Same wallet, same token, same double-entry ledger as every other mode.

Status

Light-Cycle is coming soon and its matchmaking is currently closed. The numbers above describe the simulation being prepared. Quickdraw, RakeBall and the other duels share the same wallet, the same economy and the same settlement path.
